Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Thomas M. Morgan, M.D., is a clinical geneticist with Norton Children’s Genetics Center. He earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in Massachusetts. He completed a family medicine residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire and a clinical genetics residency at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut. He is board certified in family medicine, clinical genetics and medical biochemical genetics.
Dr. Morgan cares for patients of all ages with known or suspected genetic conditions, including disorders of body chemistry and abnormal newborn screening results. Dr. Morgan provides personalized care that helps each patient and family feel supported and understood, even in the most complex cases.
With extensive experience in developing experimental treatments for rare diseases, Dr. Morgan believes that every condition offers an opportunity for hope and improvement in quality of life.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Morgan loves spending time outdoors skiing, mountain biking, hiking and trout fishing. He also holds a master’s degree in history from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and enjoys studying the history of science and medicine.
