Dr. Augusta Mayfield, a family medicine physician, began her academic journey at Vanderbilt University, where she majored in mathematics. She then pursued her medical degree at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Memphis. In 1997, Dr. Mayfield established her practice in Bowling Green, where she has enjoyed watching her patients and their families grow over the years.
Dr. Mayfield believes in the power of active engagement and participation in the patient care process. Her goal is to foster a collaborative environment where patients feel empowered to take an active role in their health journey. By building strong relationships with her patients, she aims to provide comprehensive care that meets their individual needs and supports their overall well-being.

I have layers of issues that could explain any single symptom. It is a slow process of removing explanation 1, then 2, and so on. Dr Mayfield is a good scientist.

We just flew back from a long vacation & it was going to be just after closing before I could make it to the office. I really appreciated that the entire staff was willing to see my daughter & get her started on medicine rather than telling us to go to an urgent care or wait until Monday.
