Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Rain J. Wells, APRN, is a nurse practitioner with Norton Children’s Urology, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in nursing from Bellarmine University, Louisville, Kentucky.
Rain worked as a registered nurse at Norton Children’s Hospital while completing the family nurse practitioner program at Bellarmine University. Since graduation, she has been working as a nurse practitioner in pediatrics. Her primary goal is to provide quality, evidence-based care, while ensuring that her patients and their families are informed and well-cared for.
Rain and her husband, Justin, have a son, Sumner, born in 2019. She enjoys traveling, cooking and spending the day at the lake with her friends and family.

This was the first time seeing this provider and am very pleased with our experience. Also, she checked in on us prior to our appointment and asked if we needed anything and informed us how close she was to seeing us.

She was so easy to talk to and I felt comfortable asking any questions that came to my mind. Also, very thankful she was able to get us in much faster than they first quoted me. It was going to be a whole year before she could see my daughter, but they called and managed to get us seen faster.

Rain Wells is amazing! She connects with our child and my child loves to see her. Rain makes her aware of her voice that always matters and to ask her questions as well as us of course. I can't imagine seeing anyone else
