Biography/ Philosophy of Care

Navjyot Kaur Vidwan joined Norton Children’s in 2013. Her background includes a double major in Biology as well as Anthropology from Vanderbilt University. She completed medical school training at University College Dublin (Ireland). This experience helped broaden her global view on the different styles of healthcare delivery. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in the Pediatric Infectious Diseases training fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s. She was chosen as one of twelve clinical fellows in the nation to be granted an NIH Fogarty International Research Fellow Grant. She completed an MPH at UNC-Chapel Hill on Global Health and Leadership with distinctions in project management and quality. With a public health perspective, she strives to focus on health equity and delivery for her patients and recognizes how social determinants of health impact daily medical needs.



Dr. Vidwan is the antimicrobial stewardship director at Norton Children’s Hospital. Her other passion is quality improvement and enjoys projects which encompass her work in both the pediatric hospitalist and ID divisions. She also enjoys teaching and is the Associate Pediatric Medical Student Clerkship Director.
