Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Megan M. Scruggs, M.D., is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist with Norton Children’s Cancer Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. Dr. Scruggs earned her medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington. She completed her residency in pediatrics at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Scruggs has a clinical interest in solid tumors, survivorship and late effects, with a strong focus on clinical research. Her philosophy of care centers on meeting patients and families where they are, ensuring compassionate and personalized treatment.
Outside of work, Dr. Scruggs enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and exploring the city.
