Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Dr. Megan Laniewicz joined the University of Louisville Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) in 2011. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she is the Assistant Director of Operations, for the Simulation for Pediatric Assessment, Resuscitation and Communication (SPARC) Program and is actively involved in the ongoing development and management of several SPARC programs including: trauma choreography education, a 3-year PEM curriculum for the University of Louisville Emergency Medicine Residents, the PEM Mock Codes for pediatrics residents, and ongoing simulation based training for PEM Faculty and Fellows. She is also a member of the hospital Trauma Committee and is leading the trauma Quality Improvement program for the Emergency Department.

Clinical Interest: Management of the pediatric trauma patient.

Pediatric trauma quality improvement, simulation-based education, debriefing training.
