Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Lea K. Parsley, M.D., is a clinical genetics physician, pediatrician and lifestyle medicine specialist with Norton Children’s Genetics Center. She earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of South Florida at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg. She then completed her fellowship in clinical genetics and genomics at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora. Dr. Parsley is board-certified in pediatrics.
Dr. Parsley has special interests in pediatric dysmorphology, skeletal dysplasia, neurogenetics, lysosomal storage disease and cancer genetics. Her research focuses on teratology, lifestyle medicine’s impact on chronic disease, cerebral palsy and evolving treatments for neurometabolic disorders.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, hiking and kayaking.
