Kristin T Lieb, MD

Kristin T. Lieb, M.D., is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist with Norton Children’s Cancer Institute. She earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She completed her residency in general pediatrics at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in Queens, New York, and her fellowship in pediatric hematology, oncology and stem cell transplantation at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital

Kristin provides care for children and teens facing complex medical conditions, including cancer and blood disorders. She works closely with patients, families and a team of specialists to create personalized treatment plans and provide support throughout every stage of care. She also has a special interest in histiocytosis and medical education.

Kristin believes in helping children feel as comfortable and supported as possible during treatment. She strives to maintain a sense of normalcy and preserve childhood experiences, even during difficult treatment regimens. She understands that caring for a child also means caring for the entire family and works to treat every patient and family with the same compassion and respect she would want for her own loved ones.

Outside of work, Kristin is an avid sports fan who especially enjoys professional baseball and college sports. She enjoys finding new recipes and adding her own twist to old favorites. She loves exploring the outdoors, whether in a busy city or on a hiking trail, and spending time with her large extended family and friends. Kristin also enjoys spending time with her four-legged “cousins,” rescue Labrador retrievers, and hopes to adopt a puppy of her own one day.
