Kristen H Erps, PhD

Kristen Herner Erps, Ph.D., NCSP, is a pediatric psychologist with Norton Children’s Medical Group, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. Dr. Erps earned her master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Houston in Texas. She completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, focusing on pediatric acute care and integrated primary care.

Dr. Erps specializes in working with children and adolescents with anxiety and depression and is passionate about preventing teen suicide. She believes that early intervention is crucial for addressing mental health concerns in adolescence and enjoys the opportunity to identify these issues early in a primary care setting. She is a licensed psychologist in Kentucky, a nationally certified school psychologist and a member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association and the Kentucky Psychological Association.

She is a Louisville native. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, exploring new hobbies, and spending time with Montana, her Great Pyrenees dog.
