Biography/ Philosophy of Care

Dr. Kim Boland joined the University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics in 2004.  She has served on numerous boards locally and nationally focused on the improvement of medical education.  She is a past president of the Kentucky Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics and current District IV representative to the National Nominating Committee, American Academy of Pediatrics.  Dr. Boland is involved in resident and student medical education and advocacy with her most recent focus on development and evaluation of innovative curricula in areas such as advocacy, social justice, communication, procedural medicine, evidence-based medicine, crisis management, and global health initiatives, as well as faculty development.
