Kent L Walker, DO

Kent L. Walker, D.O. is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon with Norton Children’s Orthopedics of Louisville.

Dr. Walker obtained an undergraduate degree at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee and medical school at DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. He attended residency at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee and completed a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee.

Dr. Walker enjoys treating all orthopedic conditions including fractures, sports injuries, and foot and ankle problems, with special interests in pediatric spine conditions like scoliosis and neuromuscular spine conditions.

“We have something very unique in pediatric orthopedics that our counterparts in adult orthopedics do not have,” said Dr. Walker. “Not only do we have the child (patient), we have a whole team of supporters (parents, grandparents, siblings, etc.) and the physician, that when we all work together and are on the same team, it is a beautiful thing that helps the child heal.”

Dr. Walker is a current member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Association. He is married with three children. When he is not working, he loves being active and outdoors. A fun fact about Dr. Walker is he played four years of college soccer at Belmont University, an NCAA Division I school, so naturally he and his family love sports.
