Josephine A Gilkeson, DO

Josephine A. Gilkeson, D.O., is a pediatrician with Norton Children’s Medical Group. She earned her medical degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in DOthan. She completed her pediatric residency at Norton Children's Hospital.

Dr. Gilkeson enjoys building strong relationships with families and helping guide them through every stage of childhood, from infancy through the teen years. Her philosophy of care is to help children and their families create healthy habits and build lifestyles that support long-term wellness. She is especially interested in child advocacy and works to be a voice for children and families at the local, state and national  level.

Outside of work, Dr. Gilkeson enjoys camping, hiking, cooking, attending fitness classes such Barre and yoga, cheering for the Crimson Tide, and spending time with her partner and their cat, Kona.
