Biography/ Philosophy of Care

Dr. Fischer specializes in managing infants that are premature or have life threatening conditions. Dr. Fischer is Director of Quality Improvement and Safety for the Division of Neonatal Medicine and is actively involved in improving outcomes for the infants cared for at Norton Children’s Hospital NICU, University of Louisville NICU and Baptist Health Louisville NICU. Dr. Fischer also spends time in the University of Louisville Neonatal Follow Up Program; a multi-disciplinary clinic that follows the health and development of NICU graduates across the state.
