Biography/ Philosophy of Care

Emily A. Hickerson, APRN, is a nurse practitioner with Norton Children’s Neonatology, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. Emily earned her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Louisville School of Nursing.
Emily’s philosophy of care when treating her patients is to treat and care for each child as she would want her own treated and cared for. She integrates a family-centered care approach that includes family and caregivers at every step.
In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her four children and making sure they get to all of their extracurricular activities, as well as baking.
