Elizabeth A Janes, APRN

Elizabeth A. Janes, APRN, is a nurse practitioner in the Jennifer Lawrence Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Norton Children’s Hospital. She cares for children and young adults with serious heart conditions, working closely with a team of doctors and nurses to provide the best treatment. She focuses on early intervention, recovery after surgery and long-term heart care.

A Louisville native, Elizabeth earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Louisville, specializing in pediatric acute care.

She is passionate about supporting families, helping them understand their child’s condition and making sure they feel heard. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. In 2023, she was honored with the Norton Healthcare Good Samaritan Award for her dedication to patient care.

Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys playing guitar, spending time with family and friends, and caring for her cat, Miso. She also volunteers with the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation by creating wreaths for the Festival of Trees & Lights.
