Biography/ Philosophy of Care

Dr. Peterson if currently an associate professor of pediatrics in the School of Medicine at the University of Louisville.  She joined the division in 2011.



As a member of SPARC – (Simulation for Pediatric Assessment, Resuscitation and Communication),  Dr. Peterson is the director of PACE – the Program for the Approach to Complex Encounters –  a multidisciplinary effort to provide education and training in the area of patient-family-provider communication.  She also serves as chair for the Resident Communication Skills Curriculum within the department of Pediatrics.
