Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Daniel W. Higgins, D.O., is a pediatric emergency medicine physician with Norton Children’s Emergency Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University–DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Knoxville, Tennessee, and completed his pediatric residency at Oklahoma State University in Tulsa.
In the pediatric emergency room, Dr. Higgins cares for children from birth through young adulthood when they need urgent medical treatment. He uses a team-based approach to provide high-quality care and works to connect with each patient and family so he can better meet their individual needs.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Higgins enjoys spending time in his garden and cooking new recipes with his wife. He also likes traveling to visit friends and family and exploring the many events and activities in the Louisville area.
