About Carrie A French

Biography/ Philosophy of Care

Carrie A. French, Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist with Norton Children’s Autism Center. She earned her master’s degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, and her doctorate from Spalding University in Louisville. Dr. French completed her internship with the National Psychology Training Consortium – Central Region at Royal Oaks Hospital in Windsor, Missouri, an inpatient psychiatric hospital that primarily serves children and adolescents. She completed her postdoctoral residency at Royal Oaks Hospital with a focus on psychological testing and working with individuals who have autism and other developmental disabilities.

Dr. French evaluates patients for autism and provides interventions for children and adolescents with autism. She has prior experience working with children, adolescents and adults, providing psychological services in inpatient, outpatient, school, residential, home, community and primary care settings.

She is a Louisville native. Outside of the office, Dr. French enjoys playing volleyball, running, painting, and spending time with her family, friends and cats.
