Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Andrea R. Hiller, M.D., is a pediatric plastic surgeon with Norton Children’s Surgery. Dr. Hiller earned her medical degree from the UofL School of Medicine. She completed her integrated plastic surgery residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania. She completed a fellowship in adult and pediatric craniofacial surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
As a pediatric plastic surgeon, Dr. Hiller provides cares for children of all ages, and provides prenatal consultations for families with ultrasound findings of cleft palate or other craniofacial differences. She treats a full range of craniofacial conditions, including cleft lip and cleft palate, craniosynostosis, craniofacial microsomia, and other congenital anomalies. Her surgical expertise also includes orthognathic (jaw) surgery, neonatal airway surgery, nasal surgery, ear reconstruction, treatment of vascular anomalies and management of facial trauma.
Dr. Hiller’s care philosophy focuses on providing safe, compassionate and family-centered care. She understands that craniofacial differences affect not only the patient, but also the entire family, and she works to address surgical needs along with the emotional, social and developmental impacts. She values clear communication, teamwork and shared decision-making, ensuring that families feel supported and confident throughout their child’s care.
Outside of work, Dr. Hiller enjoys spending time with her husband, who also is a plastic surgeon, and their golden retriever, Callie. She loves sailing, traveling, being outdoors, cooking, trying new foods and playing pickleball.
