Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Alyssa Saugstad, D.O., is a physician with Norton Children’s Neonatology. She earned her medical degree from Kansas City University, Missouri, and completed her residency in pediatrics at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Arizona.
Dr. Saugstad provides care for critically ill newborns, including premature infants and babies with complex medical conditions. Her goal is to help achieve the best possible outcome for each baby while guiding and supporting families. She also has a special interest in social determinants of health and health equity, working to ensure all patients receive the care they deserve.
Outside of work, Dr. Saugstad enjoys hiking, paddle boarding and spending time with her husband and daughter.
