Susan R. Bowen, Ph.D., is a pediatric neuropsychologist with Norton Children’s Neuroscience Institute. She earned her master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Florida, Gainesville. She completed a predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. She also completed specialized leadership training through the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program.
As part of the neuropsychology team at Norton Children’s Neuroscience Institute, Dr. Bowen specializes in evaluating children and teens with a variety of neurological, neurodevelopmental and medical conditions, including brain tumors, epilepsy and congenital heart disorders. She works with children, teens and their families to better understand how medical and neurological conditions can affect learning, thinking, emotions and behavior. Her goal is to help families understand their child’s unique abilities and provide clear guidance on resources and support that help children thrive.
Outside of work, she enjoys baking to share with others, and creating things in many ways, including sewing, felting, restoring furniture, making wreaths and building Lego projects.
