Biography/ Philosophy of Care
Aurelia C. Holland Wood, M.D., is a pediatric endocrinologist with Norton Children’s Endocrinology, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. Dr. Holland Wood earned her medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. She completed her residency in ambulatory pediatrics at Norton Children’s Hospital, and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Holland Wood is committed to advancing health services in Type 1 diabetes, promoting health care equity and leading community-rooted efforts to improve chronic disease care. Her clinical practice emphasizes the importance of creating a collaborative team involving the patient, family and medical professionals, all grounded in mutual trust, respect and shared decision-making to ensure safe, evidence-based care.
Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, being outdoors hiking, and spending time with her husband and the rest of their family.

Dr Woods was phenomenal. Very professional and had trusting personality. My daughter was able to talk to her openly. She talked to us like we are people and not just another check mark off her list. We're thankful enough not to currently need her services at this time, but would definitely would recommend her to everyone.

Dr. Wood was very kind and asked me to tell her about my concerns and she listened and made me feel heard about the things I was noticing about my daughter. I feel very confident in her intelligence on the matter and trust her medical expertise in this field.

Dr. Woods was very kind and nice to me and my daughter who was being seen, we felt seen and heard and she explain things well so we could understand. Also the staff & the people at the front desk was all so kind even the lady that worked in the lab when my daughter had to have lab work done.
