Biography/ Philosophy of Care

Adrianna N. Stephens, APRN, is a nurse practitioner with Norton Children’s Neonatology. She earned her master’s degree in nursing from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where she also completed her neonatal nurse practitioner training.

Adrianna provides care for premature and medically complex infants, working closely with a team of specialists to support each child’s growth, development and medical needs. She partners with families to provide compassionate, family-centered care and help give each baby the best possible start in life. Adrianna believes in focusing on each child’s growth and development while helping them overcome medical challenges. She cares for babies from birth through early childhood, often up to age 2, and values working closely with families to support and guide them every step of the way.

Outside of work, Adrianna is a mom of three and stays busy supporting her kids in sports such as baseball, basketball, soccer, softball and gymnastics. She and her husband enjoy playing slow-pitch softball together. She also is a big Duke basketball fan, enjoys staying active, and has completed several half marathons and the Walt Disney World Marathon. In her free time, she coaches middle school girls’ soccer and runs a small business creating custom-decorated cookies.
